Unexpected Gifts…
Today I woke up early to go to the gym and had a rough session with the trainer… I was feeling pretty low and disappointed in myself as I drove home. As I approached my door I saw that the storm door was ajar, being held open by a package. I immediately thought it was another delivery for Jael… but as I bent over to pick it up I saw my name on it!
I quickly opened it up and found the following two items… with pictures of some of the people I hold most dear in my life. I miss them… and although there was no card with the package, I know it was from my wonderful and loving Mami. Thanks for thinking of me Mami, you have brightened my day… I love you.
my birthday girls
Jael’s birthday was in August… and me and her had a great day that began with Boba, continued with the Getty Museum and ended with Jael’s first steak at a Japanese Steakhouse in Santa Monica!!
Jamila’s birthday was in September… to celebrate her special day we took her to the LA County Fair and spent the day having all kinds of Fair Fun. Jamila had never been on a Ferris Wheel! So… that was fun
Next… is my birthday!
